Peter J. Green

President

Peter Green worked in the company shop during the summers of his high school and college years. After attending the University of North Carolina where he graduated with a Bachelors of Art in History degree, Peter officially began work for his grandfather’s business in 1963 as an estimator and project manager. In 1974 he became the company’s executive vice president, a role he held until he became president in 1980. Outside of work Peter pursues his passion for the game of golf and he is a multi-year winner of the Michigan Amateur Tournament. He enjoys spending time with his family and grandkids, traveling, and fishing.

John R. Green

Secretary-Treasurer

John R. Green first started working with JEG in 1974, after attending the University of North Carolina for two years, and then transferring to the University of Michigan where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He entered the company ranks in the accounting department and later replaced the late Stewart L. Eby as secretary-treasurer, a post John holds to this day. He oversees administration and all financial aspects of the company. Outside of work John spends time with family, on the golf course, performing and attending theater, doing Pilates and watching college sports, especially his University of Michigan Wolverines.

Michael J. Green

Executive Vice President

Michael Green began working with John E. Green Company in 1989 after earning a BA in Communication from The University of Michigan.  His first position was in the shop and warehouse in Highland Park and then as an estimator and Project Manager for our Ann Arbor office. In 1998 he moved to Petoskey, Michigan, and opened the JEG branch office. While still in Petoskey, Michael assumed the responsibilities of vice president of the company. In 2005, a year after moving to Detroit, Michael was promoted to his current position of executive vice president. Outside of work Michael Green enjoys traveling with his family, playing golf, platform tennis, and basketball, and watching his kids play hockey.
