Automotive Paint Systems

The John E. Green Company is a leader in the installation and piping of automotive
paint facilities. We have installed entire paint systems and major subsystems in
automotive plants throughout the eastern half of the United States.
Our experience includes:
 | Fully automated and computerized paint mix rooms supplying as many as 43 paint colors
|
 | Paint circulating systems with in-line heat exchangers or modularized heat
exchangers |
 | Both automated and manual paint applications systems, including: |
-Behr Industrial electrostatic spray systems with
reciprocators
-GMF, DeVilbis and KOBE paint
manipulators/applicators
 | E-coat, phosphate, sealant and urethane systems |
 | Sludge removal systems |
Many of our projects have involved upgrades of existing paint systems to meet the
requirements of new high-solid paints and new technology for application. We have
installed new paint stations and applicators in existing paint facilities and
repiped circulating systems to handle higher viscosity paints all on rapid
turn-around schedules to protect plant production.

Production never stopped on Ford paint lines in Atlanta and Minneapolis while
John E. Green installed new Behr Industrial automatic paint applicators. In both projects,
we installed pipes and equipment within six inches of where cars were being painted.
Absolute control of dirt and dust was critical. Despite the challenging conditions,
John E. Green completed both projects on schedule with no production shutdowns.

The John E. Green Company is the nation's leading installer of the
Behr Industrial electrostatic spray paint application system. We have
installed Behr equipment in numerous plants, including:
| Chevrolet - Flint, Michigan |
GM - Farmingham, Massachusetts |
| Chrysler - Newark, Delaware |
GM - Linden, New Jersey |
| Chrysler - Sterling Heights, Michigan |
Inmont - Southfield, Michigan |
| Dupont - Madison Heights, Michigan |
Nissan - New Smyrna, Tennessee |
| Ford - Atlanta, Georgia |
Oldsmobile - Lansing, Michigan |
| Ford - Lorain, Ohio |
PPG - Flint, Michigan |
| Ford - Ohio Truck |
Ford - Minneapolis, Minnesota |
| Ford - Wixom, Michigan |

John E. Green installed a computerized paint system at one of the world's most
modern small truck plants. Operators monitor and control the system from a color graphics
terminal in the control room. We installed the entire paint circulation system, including
the paint storage area, an 80-tank mix room with associated equipment, heat exchangers,
paint stations, sealer system, and the waste solvent disposal system.

Intricate job-site coordination was required to complete a 20-color mix room and
paint circulating system at an automotive plant in Baltimore. The system was
installed on the second floor of an existing building, with only one access for all the
contractors working in the area. Careful planning enabled us to deliver a fully
operational system on time.

John E. Green completed a paint system upgrade 10 weeks ahead of schedule at
Ford's Lorain, Ohio plant. The plant is the site of Ford Thunderbird and
Mercury Cougar production. The project involved installation of both a new
paint circulation system and a new application system for the paint booths.

The automated color changers at this truck plant can be programmed to switch colors
for each vehicle on the line. The color changers are part of a complete paint
mix and circulation system installed by John E. Green. The system feeds 60 paint stations.
Each paint booth also has 4 special color pumping systems, with separate
mixing and circulation.
