Safety
The John E. Green Company is committed to a zero-tolerance injury policy for all personnel with regard to incidents and injuries. The goal of all company employees is to have each employee return home safely at the end of every day. This is achieved through a team effort of the John E. Green Safety Committee, field personnel, union affiliates, insurance carriers, subcontractors and various industry-wide construction associations. We employ a full-time safety team committed to providing a safe and wellness work environment. John E. Green current safety initiatives include:
- 30-hour OSHA certifications for all field supervisors
- Goal-oriented safety incentives for employees
- A programmed drug and alcohol testing requirement for all employees
- A safety committee consisting of upper management, safety and field personnel that meet bi-weekly to date
- Safety training for all aspects of the construction process
As a direct result of these and other continuing initiatives, John E. Green Company’s Experience Modification Rate, Recordable Incident Rate, and Dart Rate significantly outperform any standards set forth in the construction industry.
The John E. Green Company Safety Department consists of three highly trained and dedicated safety professionals that combine over fifty years of safety experience and expertise. Each project receives weekly site audits and on-site training to meet all requirements set forth by OSHA Standards for Construction.
